"The Hookup"

I went outside my comfort zone for this article. I covered a talk about sexual assault, an event I wouldn’t normally be eager to write about. The event was very informative and the speaker was so loud and enthusiastic that she helped make it easier to write the article.

I was criticized for not having a photo caption for this picture as well as my lead. I didn’t write the lead that was printed, another editor changed my lead.
