Videos

Videos I’ve worked on throughout my career:

The Ohio State College of Veterinary Medicine: I worked with our Stewardship Director at Ohio State’s College of Veterinary Medicine to film, edit and create these two personalized thank you videos. The videos were loaded onto a video postcard that when the donor opened it, the video would start playing. I used my Sony A6600 camera to film these and used Adobe Premiere Pro to edit the videos and add burned on captions as well as speaker’s titles.

The Ohio State Veterinary Medical Center: The goal of this video was to encourage clients to make a gift during our Thank Your Veterinarian giving campaign in the fall. I worked with our annual giving coordinator to film one of our board-certified veterinary neurologists speaking about what donations mean to her and the neurology service. I used Premiere to add in OSU VMC branding, Dr. Moore’s title and burned on captions.

The Ohio State Veterinary Medical Center: The goal of this video was to show alumni and client donors the impact of their donations to the Ohio State Veterinary Medical Center. I worked with our development officers and edited this video together in Adobe Premiere Rush.

The Ohio State College of Veterinary Medicine: This video was shared internally in December 2022. A member of the Health and Wellbeing Committee asked if I could help film this video and of course, I said yes. We went around campus one-day and asked people what they were looking forward to next year or what they were most thankful for. I like how real and authentic this video is, capturing people in-the-moment saying what they want, unscripted and unrehearsed.

The Ohio State College of Veterinary Medicine: The goal of this video was to steward a donor for their recent estate gift. I worked closely with our stewardship director on this video. In November 2022, we set up time with faculty and staff in the Veterinary Medical Center. We wrote a script for each person, making sure it felt natural and was on-brand. I filmed each person, edited the video and our stewardship director loaded the video onto a video postcard and mailed it to the donor. The donor emailed the development officer and said, “We are overwhelmed and moved to tears by the personalized messages from Dean Moore and the additional faculty and staff on the video card. To hear so many say Guthrie’s name and mention the impact that these funds will make to their areas is so gratifying. We knew this gift was the right thing for us to do, but the thoughts shared on this video card make it personal and brings it home.”

The Ohio State College of Veterinary Medicine: This video was filmed to show gratitude to a donor who included the Veterinary Medical Center in their estate plans. I worked closely with our director of stewardship on this video. She wrote the script, which Dean Moore made some edits to so that it sounded natural. I filmed the footage and edited the video, adding captions in Premiere Rush. We didn’t share this video on social media, only with the donor. I burned the captions onto the video so they could fully understand the video.

The Ohio State College of Veterinary Medicine: I went over to the Veterinary Medical Center to film a dog, Capser, using the infamous Michigan fire hydrant and shared the video across social media channels in November 2022, in anticipation for the big game. We’d previously been using an older video of a dog using the fire hydrant so I wanted to update the video with a new dog. I emailed the client the video and got the client’s permission. Thankfully they were an Ohio State football fan.

The Ohio State College of Veterinary Medicine: The goal of these four videos was to encourage fellow alumni to make a donation. We wanted to create a video library resource for our frontline fundraisers. These videos were made during the pandemic, so I did Zoom interviews with each alumni. Our development officer made a warm introduction so they knew who I was and felt comfortable speaking with me. We talked about why they give to Ohio State, what fund they give to, their veterinary career and the importance of giving back. I edited that conversation into bite-size snippets that development officers could use for their fundraising efforts. I used Premiere Rush to add context and branding.

MedVet: This video was shared on social media for National Pet Cancer Awareness Month. The veterinarians shared with me the story, photos and videos of Titan and I edited it together using Animoto.

MedVet: I created this video on behalf of Human Resources and shared it on LinkedIn. Reflecting back on my work, I would have asked Kaitlyn to speak more slowly.

MedVet: For these two videos, I added the logo and cropped the size for social media.

Volunteers of America: Our goal was to show just how easy it is to drop off donations at a thrift store. Two employees volunteered to act out the donation process at the Indianola Volunteers of America thrift store.

Volunteers of America: This video was made by Hotbed Media. I helped develop the script, provided edits and made sure the video aligned with VOA’s brand.

Volunteers of America: A video of me in my office

Volunteers of America: I shared this short compilation video on social media for our Operation Backpack campaign. I thought all the different backpacks would be visually compelling.

Volunteers of America: I filmed this behind-the-scenes video to show thrift store shoppers how donations were sorted. My goal was to pull back the curtain and show what actually goes on.

Volunteers of America: I made this video in conjunction with a blog post on this same topic. I shared it on social media and linked to the blog post.

Volunteers of America: This video was for our 2018 Operation Backpack campaign.

Volunteers of America: I filmed this video in my office, talking about working at the Last Tuesday 50% off day at one of our thrift stores.

Volunteers of America: This is a video I shot at the ribbon cutting of the Pickerington thrift store. It was very exciting to finally open this brand-new, custom-built thrift store. We shared this video on social media.
