Along with organic social media, I’m experienced in running paid social media campaigns.

With Ohio State, we worked with the agency Third Street Digital, investing $500 in Facebook and Instagram ads targeting veterinarians, with the goal of increasing online event registrations for a continuing education conference.

Our target audience was veterinarians in and around Ohio because the conference is for vets and takes place at Easton. We wanted to try to attract younger vets as well as out of town vets who would stay at the hotel because we needed to fill our hotel block. We targeted men and women, ages 25-55, 50 miles within Columbus, OH + Newark, OH + Buckeye Lake, OH + Granville, OH + Akron, OH Pittsburgh, PA + Philadelphia, PA + Indy, IN + Lexington, KY + Huntington, West Virginia with the job title of a veterinarian.

Click-Thru Rate: 1.68% (Average is .5-.7% for this type of campaign).

The paid social media campaign was a success because registration numbers were strong. We had 139 people registered and we were pleased with that number.
