About Me

Hello, I’m Debbie. I’m a thrifty and creative digital marketing pro. I thrive when I’m creating engaging marketing content for purpose-driven brands.

Currently, I’m a marketing specialist for Ohio State’s Office of Student Life, serving university partners like Dining Services, Parent and Family Relations, University Catering, Student Conduct and Buckeye Careers.

Previously, I did email and social media marketing for The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. I was the digital marketing and social media expert for MedVet, a network of emergency and specialty hospitals for pets.
Before that, I was at the non-profit Volunteers of America Ohio & Indiana.

In all of my jobs, I like the variety of areas of marketing I get to do: Social media, blog writing, email marketing, analytics, content strategy, website redesign, community management, and graphic design. It’s a wide range.

I think marketing should be real and focused on human behavior. I also think marketing can be done affordably with a little creativity and elbow grease.

You have a life outside of work? 
I love humor and puns. When I can create a clever punny social media post that others enjoy, I feel awesome.  On my personal Instagram, I mostly follow dogs, especially Corgis and Bernese Mountain Dogs.  Favorite TV shows are Saturday Night Live, Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, Parks and Rec. Clearly, I like to laugh. And, I need energy to laugh so I’m utterly addicted to coffee.
